Let’s catch up!

Eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen–30 years of writing romance!

I’m back. A long weekend and a lot of stormy weather, but I’m back at my desk now. I have more books to give to someone! Speaking of books, I’ve been going through my bookshelves as we begin to downsize a bit. So many memories with so many great authors. I have a pile to pass on, and a pile to keep. But I keep pulling books out of the “to give away” pile and tucking them back into my “to keep” pile. The struggle is real! I have book shelves in every room of my house. I think most readers have the same, as well as writers. We have fiction, research books, and how to books, because we never stop questioning, plotting, or learning.

I have words to write and edits to do, but in my next blog I’ll tell you about the call I got when I had a migraine, and the book that got me into the official launch of Love Inspired Books. (Three years after the first call.) But right now, I have winners to announce: Thanks for your comments, ladies!

  1. Hi Lenora, Looks like I was one of today’s winners. I’m not sure how to do this, but I assume I give you my address. Thank you, again and congrats. I really enjoy how you give your characters deep emotions in your books.

  2. Hi, Deana. That depends on the book. For the K-9 books, we talk to officers and read manuals a lot. For Amish, I read a lot of Amish blogs, and books about the Amish, and talk to other Amish writers. We use a bit of poetic license but we try to stay true to the Amish way of life and their beliefs.
